dennned 172
just noticed this afternoon , that my cement mixer has been nicked , this has not been the mindless act of kids , but adults ,cos it would have taken 2 adults to carry it from my back garden around the front , obviously to a waiting van or trailer to take it away , if i find out the culprits , wo behold , my actions will not be very nice to see , so if it was YOU beware i might just see you in the DARK for some repurcussions. Guest JohnGalway
Sorry to hear that Den. It's an awful state to be in that a person can't leave something like that outside. Any stuff I have is under lock and key, makes life more complicated as I'm going to and from for bits and pieces but if I want to still have them next week that's what I have to do. Odd stuff been nicked around here, rolled up water pipe, sheep wire fence that was actually stapled to the stakes (that one takes a bit of believing but it's 100%, robbed off my uncle). Lately been a lot of petrol robbed and a few outboard engines gone walkabout as well. Here's hoping what goes around comes around is true In my experience it usually is

Malt 379
Who said it wasn't a lot of money mate? If it was aimed at my post, I said its NOT as if they're worth pennies. I was a self employed plasterer not so long ago, if you have to replace ANY kit for any reason it's like a financial kick in the bollocks, but even more so because of some thieving b*****ds. minion 29
The sad thing is there is no deterant! the worst thingt that wiould happen is you get your hands on them and give them a hammering! So they think its woth the risk? The police wont be intrested and even if they caught the theiving swines they would get a slap on the wrist!!!!!! The whole justice system is a complete shambles. I can understand why (dont agree or think its okay in the slightest) some people would do that. The rewards are a few hundred quid for ten minutes work - the risk of being caught is slim and the risk of being taken through the courts is minimal. It really is a sad situation to be in. I hope you find them and you can use the ixed to mix the cement to bury the b*****ds Edited July 10, 2008 by minion
Guest JohnGalway
Good guard dog is about the best deterrent. Not always practical if not guarding your home place though.
dytkos 17,820
I feel the same way at the minute. I am currently serving in Afghanistan so my access to a PC is limited but I love to keep in touch with the real world when I can. The wife emailed day before yesterday to say some theiving fecker has had the tow bar off my Landrover. I dont normaly have much to say on this forum just love to read it and pick up tips, but I felt compelled to add my sympathy and anger. Like wise I hope to bump into them on a dark night, I know of a good badger set that they will be taking residence in. Read somewhere recently that boiler oil theft has increased by 200% in the last 12 months. Some even have had the tanks nicked complete, never mind syphoning etc. Tw%ts
