SS, Do you wear ear defenders when stalking? I find that with my mod, i dont need ear defenders, or are you currently not using a mod? I have electronics for clay shooting, but they are pretty bulky. Good performers though. I think thry are peltor brand. You cant wear a hat with them. Sunglasses are difficult as well.. Matt Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
Peltor SportTac Alright, they're not slimline... However, they're great on a breezy day, you don't get that whooshing wind noise like with other electronic ones. I've gone walkabout with them on the edge of the Atlantic on windy days here so they're well tested that way. 30 or 40 rounds today with them and had them at a clay shoot (observing) Sunday and they're excellent I think I got mine on Ebay, took a while for the guy to get me a green pair but no complaints otherwise. SNAP SHOT 194
these will only be used for stalking and range work...........so slimline is a necessity...........i have no mod fitted at the minute, for a few reasons..... Quote Link to post
FJager 0
SS Peltor do have a slimline model, getting a set myself. Quote Link to post
dsr686 0
If you want the best of the best get in touch with Viking Communications 0845 2573825 they produce some excellent moulded ear defenders, these fit inside your ear. I have the passive ones (about £100) which i don't think would be best for stalking but electronic ones are available but a bit more pricey. They even produce 2nd generation digital ones that amplifies sound under certain dbs (even more pricey) Quote Link to post
Guest JohnGalway
In that case, don't buy a pair from Debens Quote Link to post
