Dogs most likely to bite you

Recommended Posts

I own a collie, it has never bitten anyone in 11 years. Except me!! LOL

However its behaviour can be miss understood. It herds me, especillay if I am running, it herds the kids around the gargen too. If you don't know collies it could be thought to be biting you. Mine nips my ankles.

It is a very protective dog though. It is a one man dog, i.e. mine. Very loyal. Except if i play fight with the wife. Then he automatically takes my wifes side. They gang up on me and he plays rough. (little B*****d).

Wouldn't swap him for the world. Best guard dog i have ever had. Come to my house if I am out, knock on the door, light blue touch paper and retire!!!!

My wife used to be a debt collector, that collie has got her out of many scrapes by protecting her car when she had cash in it.

we have a sheppard x collie and never bitten anything. including kids and all animals, he gets filled in by the cat.

But still i am always carefull when he is around kids and never left alone with kids.

Reminds me of the story of the labrador i think, a few years a go a little girl got mauled by it and was put down, afterwoulds the kid owned up and said she was putting a pencil in its ear to see what would happen. hmm ear pencil now when dose it sharpen, oh shit yeah them teeth arrrghhhhh.

Another story is when i used to have a iguana he was a nice 5 and half foot long and used to follow the dog every where, one morning the post lady nocked on the door and the dog done his usual charging at the door. i opened it and she went aww what a nice do--- arrrrgggghhhhhhhhh and ran, the iguana had only walked over and sat down next to the dog.how i wet myself. never did get that letter :D

Dunno about dogs, but i've bitten a few people meself  Nothing more effective at getting someone to release there grip on you in a clinch. ;)

Reminds me of the time I was fighting with a bouncer. He had me tied up in all sorts of knots, clothes got ripped, and in the middle of it all, I saw a pair of bollocks dangling there. I thought to myself, 'Right, I'm going to bite those b*stards!'

So with an almighty CHOMP, the fella flew 10 feet across the pub!

I tell you, it's amazing the strength you get when you bite your own bollocks!

NB: Not a true story! Sorry, couldn't resist!

Feck, just took me 5 minutes to clean the tea from the keyboard, :clapper: :clapper: :clapper:

I think stats are misleading a lot of these dogs are popular breeds so it stands to reason the more there is of a breed the higher the reports of biting incidents. Someone made a good point earlier about some owners humanising their dogs and giving it more status than it should have in the home that in my opinion is the main reason for dogs biting people. :icon_eek:

I kind of agree with the order of the list.......i know that at work we have more nasty Yorkshire Terriers, Westies and little dogs then any other breed and as for the ESS beng higher then the Border.....it seems to be that they are breeding springers for there looks and not their temperment now-a-day, see more and more highly strung, un-trustworthy spaniels everyday.....which is sad as they are on of my favourite breeds......

But like its already been said...you cant always blame the dog 90-95% of the time its the owners.....treating them like children, putting the dog above themselves in the pack, reciepe for disaster imo
