rub down

well chaps just intrested in peoples methods on careing for your dogs after a hard night on the lamp from feet to shoulders an all muscle rub downs to stop stiffnes!!ointments etc cheers slip........ :thumbs:

never bothered with ointments or anything like that unless there needed.

check for injurys , treat any wounds , give them some good grub and a warm bed. :thumbs:

i now thats jist of things but when running 3/4 nights a week i genarly want them to b right an not stiff as a board pick up to many injurys :victory: thanks tod

give mine a good rub down all over before and after a nights work,a good warm up before i think just to loosen up especially in the colder months,and warmish water when we finish with a tiny pinch of sugar.

i do to dawn raider walk around the block to loosen up an do their 1s an 2s a half hour before i get in the car but an bit of message but just wondering does any one make up their own potions an ointments for rub down after words

its a bit kinder on the stomach ,cramps etc,go for a good run and try neckin a pint of cold water :clapper: the old man used to make an ointment will find out what the ingredients were i know one of them was cider vinegar used to stink us out lolhe also used to give a small piece of chocolate after some hard graft he had a couple of dogs that had strokes which he put down to low energy,hard graft and the cold.

theres lots of different embrocation on the market for rubbing down

if your dogs a bit stiff aftera nights lamping he deservesa good rub down

i put mine in the magneta pulse box for 1/2 and this take all the sorness

out of is body :clapper:

yes it is worth the effort after a nights hunting , checking for injury's as well as cuts , i allways rub mine down with curaco, before a nights lamping and when i return then putting them in the porta mag for 45 mins each, it's only fair on your dog , i also make sure they have electrolytes, before and after a hard nights graft , got to remember these are athletes , so we must to the best of our ability look after them
