Roz31573 0
I get abroad as often as possible... Snowboarding holiday every winter, either at new year or after the hind season, and sometimes a summer hol somwhere warm.... though not this year as I have a holiday cottage on the coast where I also spend a lot of time (and it's cheaper!) Guest G.Mac
Like to get abroad at least once a year but I'm with Tommy here, you cant beat Donegal for a relaxing time. Better still when you can bring the dogs with you and get a bit in with them. Be down there all over the summer, some good festivals all down the West coast worth looking at. mackem 27,883
I've only ever been on holiday once. My parents couldnt afford it when we were growing up. I want to travel sometime but i'd like to see alot more of the UK and achieve a few things before i go heading abroad. I could never go on a holiday just sitting on the beach when i do eventually travel to another country i want to be fishing or hunting the whole time. Im planning on spending a few weeks in scotland this year hunting with the dogs and another couple of weeks somewhere else. Everyone at work thinks im mad taking my holiday in the winter and spending it in scotland hunting with my dogs, but then again i think their sad spending their holiday pissed up on a beach somewhere. Joe Best off spending your holidays salmon fishing in the north-east JOE,but your boss says judging by the speed and efficiency of your work-rate every f***ing days a holiday for you
Guest buster321c
I much prefer holidaying in the UK. I'm not one for sitting on a beach, turning red & getting covered in fecking sand, I live in a seaside town, I can do that at home if I want to. Give me a walk in the Scottish Highlands, the Moors of Devon & Cornwall, The Brecon Beacons or anywhere like that, and I'll be happy. The UK has got so much to offer, but it's sad that it's often overlooked, but saying that, I live in a holiday hotspot here, and holidaymakers get on my tits, so the more that go abroad the better! Well we went to a little place round the corner from you last year , maltenby , loved it so much ill be there in a few weeks again , Broad Haven . Beautiful there , and bloody loads of rabbits , might take the gun with me this year , if anyone wants to invite me out for a couple of hours

I haven't been out for a while now either, the s200 is (still!) out of commission, and the only other gun I have is the king ratty, no good for bunnies. Which Broad haven are you off to mate? we've got two, north & south.
mouse 282
weve got a 25 foot motorhome so we get away whenever we can out of the hunting season.love going to the lakes and the dales but always go to france in the summer.always go to the nice little places and not the tourist areas.saying that we are going for a month next week and are going to south of france for a week first so the kids can get in the sea.then we are off into a forest in the middle of nowhere for a couple of weeks with a swimming pool and a nice fishing lake.only 30 caravan pitches and have been there before so cannot wait.dont go away between september and april so we can be out with terriers and hounds so fit it all into the summer months. Lovely place, not far from Haverfordwest, 'over the other side' as we say here, on account of it being the other side of the river Cleddau.
Simoman 110
Go to the south of France most summers, love the place. We also try to have a week in the highlands spring or autumn and a few weekends away in the caravan. I love foreign hols, only been to France, Belgium and Oz though. My idea of hell would be a beach holiday or Ibiza and such like.............

mattydski 560
I have been speaking to quite a few hunters recently, both Dog and Gun and they all seem to prefer to holiday in the UK rather than go abroad. And If they do go abroad, they are itching to get back. I was like it last week in France, couldn't wait to get back home and out with the gun. Anybody the same? Regards SS Just back from France, St Jean du Monts, in the Vendee. Took the kids, drove 1000 miles from Dundee, through Dover to France, had 6 days and drove back again. Great place, lovely weather, still peeling from the burn. Drive was a bit of a killer though, couldn't wait to get back and get the gun out. Normally go Skiing to America or Canada in the Winter, just cant afford it this year. I also enjoy this country, especially Pembs in Wales where my Wifes family is. Normally do abit a bit shark fishing when i go there in the summer. Matt
