I have been speaking to quite a few hunters recently, both Dog and Gun and they all seem to prefer to holiday in the UK rather than go abroad.

And If they do go abroad, they are itching to get back.

I was like it last week in France, couldn't wait to get back home and out with the gun.

Anybody the same?

Regards

SS

I much prefer holidaying in the UK. I'm not one for sitting on a beach, turning red & getting covered in fecking sand, I live in a seaside town, I can do that at home if I want to. Give me a walk in the Scottish Highlands, the Moors of Devon & Cornwall, The Brecon Beacons or anywhere like that, and I'll be happy. The UK has got so much to offer, but it's sad that it's often overlooked, but saying that, I live in a holiday hotspot here, and holidaymakers get on my tits, so the more that go abroad the better!:thumbs:

We are going to Cornwall camping for 2 weeks this Summer. For the cost of the air fares alone we can buy a great tent.

I have never been to Cornwall and am really looking forward to it. With the way the economy is looking at the moment, the benefits of a holiday in the UK are looking more and more attractive.

The only thing I cannot get my head round is how expensive hotels are in the UK, hence the tent :)

fooking campsite prices in the uk are unbelivable , we also looked in to going to cornwall, but paying for a campsite and spending £300 ON DIESEL , feck that , cheaper to go abroad on a package.

mind you the strong euro is a bit of a c**t, means having more spendo

cornwalls a great place mate, done Cyprus a few years on the trot, great weather, food and the locals are fantastic. Did a short break in Edinburgh fri-mon last january another great place got the flights cheap easyjet and the hotel was reasonable b&b £60 a night for the two of us, four poster bed and all that, usually do Weymouth one or two times a year another great place, did Littlesea in dorset last weekend although it was a last minute thing and cost me £200 :icon_eek: for fri-mon at the caravan park.

I don't think you can beat staying in this country and if you plan it right and shop around you can get a good deal take the following weymouth, cornwall, wales can all be visted at Haven parks if you collect the sun vouchers which they usually run throughout the year for around a tenner per person based on four sharing, so its gonna cost you around £45 quid, i was suprised when we visited littlesea last week to find lots of youngsters pulling in with their new bmw's and pitching up tents.
