MR TEA POT 1,287
Well i have been thinking of getting a 4x4 for while now i was looking at disco's and the like. What with every thing going up in price(fuel, food bills)and a morgage to think about,i thought i would go for something low end 4x4 and picked up this little sweetheart. She may not look much to you folks with big cars, but she is perfect for what i want it for.I work for a motor factors company so i thought i would get the timing belt done just in case and while it was in the garage get a full service done. So i priced up the bits,a oil filter cost me 0.95p air filter £1.29 and spark plugs 0.79p each what a bargin.Just what i want a nice cheap runnaround. And yes i have heard all the hairdresser jokes and the bum boys joke Ignore the pick house nextdoor she's a bit looney Edited July 8, 2008 by MR TEA POT
MR TEA POT 1,287
That look's a tidy little motor mate and im sure you will have some fun in it.. .. I was thinking mate on the wheel's and tyre's.. not that they is anything wrong with the one's you have.. but if you can get a cheap set of steel rim's with good off road tyres on them you will benefit good style trough out the winter month's Cheer's Millet Aren't them wheels up to the job then millet? Which tyres would you recommended? Its my first 4x4 always willing to learn something, thanks millet. Geoff.C 0
Nice motor Mr Teapot, it is definitely NOT a hairdressers car. The special edition models in bright green (Verdi) and the pinky red (Rossini) were reckoned to be the hairdressers favorites. Have fun with it, they are very robust and reliable.I have had Suzuki 4x4 for years, and always been pleased with them.

Wilky 0
The Vitara's are a damn sight better off road than a lot of folk give them credit for, if you're going to hammer it though, watch out for the front axle, they're a bit weak, but if you whip it off and swap it for a sammy, they're a lot stronger, rip the back box off and shove a short coupled muffler on (otherwise it'll just get ripped off anyway) and stick as big a set of wheels and mud terrains on as'll fit and you REALLY can do some serious playing in a Vitara. I've seen some belters doing the business, there was an absolute cracker at Parkwood recently showing how to do it, I might have a few piccies, if I get a minute, I'll pop em on.
