scouser3038 1
I started when I was around 11 and smoked anything going then as I got older it was golden virginia all the way was on about 30/40 a day then I took Zyban from the doctor and haven't smoked for nearly 6 years I miss it like mad but I'm fitter than I've ever been and I don't want to go out with tubes in me wheezing and blowing, nothing is uglier than a dying smoker. Is that Chunk doing the truffle shuffle in your avatar Leveller??

Caravan Monster 323
Gave up from 30 or so Drum roll up a day. That was three years ago, and still miss smoking sometimes, especially after a few beers or if something really bad happens. Would never start again though because it was so difficult to stop. Much fitter and healthier now, although suffer from being a smug b#stard around people who can' t give up.
Ratman2 2
my dad smokes and personaly i dont like him doing it becuase of lung cancer and heart disease. last year in my course we have to go round diferent hospital wards and when you see people with lung cancer its horrible When they are crying and choking up blood, and they are scared senseless. I cant tell you engouth how much they all regret smoking when they are just days away from an exagrated, painfull and awful death. They are scared and f*cking cursing they day they started smoking. Yep, held my Fathers hand while he took his last painfull breath, fuc*ing dreadful way to die, fuc*ing dreadful way to watch your Dad die. That was ten years ago, still hurts like hell. Guest Ditch_Shitter
Golden Virginia, for last thirty years. Before that I was on Old H'. Before that tailor made's. No. 6. I smoke king sized skins. Get through about fifteen a day. My arteries are so clogged up I can barely walk faster than a crawl up the slightest incline. I'll die soon enough. Cardiac, cancer, stroke or asbestosis. But, doing my Family Tree as I do, I've seen how, down the years, so many of my ancestors were in the Work House and dead long before my age. Gt. Grandma, maternal. Grand Dad, maternal. Mum. All died of cancer. Uncle did. Then his son followed a few years later. Auntie's got is, as I type. Breath the foul air of Portsmouth all ye life and ye going to. Uncle was the best one though; Smoked Guards all his life. Gave up at around seventy. Then got lung cancer. Turns out the cancer was caused by scar tissue left on his lung when he was a fit young, twenty one year old Paratrooper and got a dose of pneumonia. Might as well of enjoyed his fags to the last. Got to give ye that one! When I started, at thirteen, I only had to see a girl at 500 yards and that was IT! Fag out. In the mouth. Puff! Didn't matter a f*ck if I felt like it ~ which I seldom enough did anyway. Whether I could Afford another one right then ~ I'd normally put it out once she'd, inevitably, walked by. I just had to be Seen to be smoking How much more f*cking impressive I'd have looked if I'd just broke into a nice, steady run and gone pounding past like an athlete. Breathing easily as my young heart carried me, eh? Fit to sire her offspring. These days I can't finish a f*ck without needing to stop for a fag break and a 'Breather'!
