gaz 284
I can see where your coming from W/H but testing a dog thoroughly means not just finding his strengths but also finding any weakneses the dog might have and correcting them when you choose to breed from it...you will not find these weakneses over a season but they will appear over a few seasons as the dogs is pushed harder as he needs to put a bit more in from his faster sappling days...this is when most dogs mettle is tested not after a season...ever thought Storm may jack or pull up a bit next season when he is being run hard or takes a bit of a pasting around the chops from a good fox....he might you know ? ive seen a few good young dogs do this a few seasons down the road..and then you might be left with a pup or two knowing they might do the same, just a thought pal Edited July 7, 2008 by gaz Quote Link to post

tod 3
i have seen storm work and have no doubt in what the dog can do and will continue to do. MLB thats nonsense talk.you cant predict nothing when it comes to dogs thats why people only breed of tested and proven stuff. i have owned dogs that have started in a blaze of glory and jibbed by the age of 4. if world hunters wants to line is dog than thats up to him but most dog lads with some sense about the game wouldnt dream of it. collie/grey 238
You made friends rather quick with 'derek' as now he is your MATE. So what's happening with your other greyhound 'Ruby', thought you were putting storm over that?? All these big plans and nothing is going to come of them once they have been made.........Just because you think 'Storm' is a world beater now doesn't mean he's going to be next season, i agree with the others he's far too young and i don't care if you like it or not, if that's the case i might aswell breed from jodie this year, she does the same as storm?... How are you supposed to rear these pups anyway? They aren't going to grow on paper, or is mum going to be paying for their upbringing while you reap in the cash for it? Just the same as the birds..............I think you need to rethink about all your plans. Quote Link to post

Guest world.hunters
kayligh you need to shut up with your stupid comments if you wanted to say anythink like that then why not of said it to me yesterday, i dont make out storm is such a f*****g world beater im proud of my dog because i have seen what he has done for me, iv been lamping with you and the noise is far to loud and i havnt seen anythink above average, you try to make your self come across as such a experianced hunter but you have only been doing it for a few years, i have been lamping and hunting since i could walk but i dont try to make out i know everythink everyone learns somethink new except you youv got a boizoi or what ever the f*****g thing is that was supposidly braught for showing but all i see it do is sitting in the kennel. and you can really not compare jodie to storm she is 2 year old and she hasnt done what my dog has done yet and im not saying that to come across as big headed its the truth. if she does what storm does then we will have a compo this coming season. you have miles and miles of land around here but you choose to lamp within a mile or so of your home where all you really ever seen is roe deer and there not really that hard to catch for any lurcher there are next to no rabbits or hare around this area i think you told me you only ever seen a few. but since i been down here i have seen enough hares for me to think that you are making excuses for your dogs capabilty on this certain quarry. if you wanted to try your dogs you would of found the spots by now already i know more places to go to find the cirtain quarry and have permission 20min walk from here that has all quarry on there. i never see anythink more then basic training like sit come hear and beg for food ow and sorry your amazing trick of getting a dog to "talk" for food. i baught my dog up learning in the field from as soon as he was walking 1 on 1 with the dog. not takeing a pup out with a pack and it f*****g off and running back here everytime. you socialize your dogs with cats but never with a ferrets. and i can feed my own dogs its not that expensive to buy a bag of dry as that is all i see your dogs eating, you seem scared of feeding it raw becasue you say it gives it the shits when i was in yorkshire i never had to buy any food as he caught more then enough to feed him self and there is enough quarry around here to do the same and the butchers also give scraps away but you dont seem to think so. and do you not under stand when we said the dreyhound is mine and your mum which means any money left over from the pups is half mine half your mums or dont you understand simple maths W.h Edited July 7, 2008 by world.hunters Quote Link to post

I haven't been online, it was only today i saw the tread. I don't make myself out to be an experienced hunter at all, get your facts right, i respect the quarry i hunt, not go out catching deer in the summer months lamping??......Why do you need to bring my other dogs into this, does the truth hurt, you don't have nothing else to say. I wasn't comparing jodie, she isn't 2 years old yet either, she hasn't done everything storm has done because i don't run a young dog into the ground, i haven't got any rush for her to prove herself. I don't need to have a compo with you to prove my dogs ability either, but when the times comes, i'll gladly have a compo with you. If i wanted a f*****g hare dog i would've got a saluki x and purposely gone out finding hare. I know where there's all types of quarry, why should i tell you where it is, i don't want you to go out lamping in my area in the summer, ruining it for me in the winter, have you ever thought about that??? Thought not. What's my dogs training got to do with you, diego isn't mine either, i take him out because if i didn't he wouldn't get taken out at all. If he was mine he would be out with me on his own. I don't take my dogs ferreting, i don't like it, so theres no need for my dogs to socialise with them. Regarding raw food, as a matter of fact my dogs were once fed raw food entirely, i used to travel to cirencester to get it from the butchers and they eat what they catch you moron. I've never said raw food gives them the shits, only the f*****g grass out of the stomach and all the innerds with no bones. Oh sorry did i not read that the greyhound was YOURS and my mums. Just like everything then. Quote Link to post
Guest world.hunters
i dont go lamping all through the summer i go the odd time when others are going out and i go lamp the permission where they want the pest removing and i suppose you never do then ay, sorry what was it you caught a couple weeks ago a baby deer while out lamping and you had been out numirous amounts of time before that aswell and you say it was only because you had dogs off the lead working up, sorry but you dont have dogs working up while out lamping. also when ever the dogs have been walked you come back saying re re re we chased a deer again today. and when me and others have walked out with you you leave everyone behind so you can check fields and run deer before anyone sees them. and concerning diago if i remeber correctly it was your idea to keep diago because he will make a good stud dog you said. anyways why not carry on feeding your dogs raw then? it can be delivered and its not expensive at all. and yes the dog is my and MLB and i walk them and train them daily. but whats happening to your dogs since you have moved out only dog you have took with you is tasha they never get to see you except when you come down a couple times a week maybe to walk them and then find them again when they run off.
