hello all

as above i was in chat chatting to ss,tm,& anothers. alot on my mined these day and i could not sleep so tm jack at about 4.30 or so so i had it in my head to go for a shot it was getting bright out fast,so a cup of tea made me right

pick up the .243 and off in the jeep as i drove around most fields had hares in it nice to c them thinking after if only i had the hound  so as i drove away for a few miles hares caught me eyes til there up on a small hill i spyed a fox crosseing the hill stop jump out stood on the side of the jeep looking at him in the scope as he went along,i could not get a clear shot so move the jeep up to a gate and head across a the field heading tp the hightest point of the land no sign of the fox anywerei was in by a wall got a great rest for the gun, lovely i said to meself all i need is a fox now so i call and call on and off for about 20 mins or so only to see a hare stick it head up about 40yrds in the long grass out to my right i lit a fag as i looked around at the land the sea forgetting about things that are bothering me over the weeks. way out again something caught my eye not sure what it was thinking a hare again i gave afew calls

then come along the rushy side of the field a fox i got ready. losted him again a few low calls again then just slowly comeing over a dip of a hill under me the fox walk up almost flat to the ground head down ears up it stoped i locked on to it and bang! it fell dead never know what hit it,

it was about 100yrds i was very happy with the shot and the fact that i never realy stalked foxes like this till i started shooting deer, something new i guess, it was now 7.30 or so time for a breakfast roll from spar, try and get a hour or to sleep,

cheers sounder

Yep I must agree, early morning is by far the nicest part of the day. No one about to bother you and you can be alone out in nature so to speak, it's very relaxing  Often just sat out just watching it get bright and hear all the birds and animals get about their business for the day, am always happier if I start the day that way. Well done on the fox :)

Well Done Sounds,

I agree, that part of the morning is the best time to be out on your own with nothing else to bother you.

And to get the fox was the icing on the cake.

All that Sea air clears the mind too, some of my permission is close to the Marsh and you cant beat it.

Regards

SS

P.S, You are getting my bug for writing these long posts!!
