Don't you find if the dog is in cover then he can't catch anything that bolts from it. I'm begining to think you need three dogs for daytime bushing work, one in the cover and two on the outside. Guest vin
mate of mine had a doberman bitch that got caught with his retired track greyhound...he had a bitch that he kept ...and a mate had a big strong dog...i mean big.. the bitch looked like it was going to be an incredible dog..but died before it got to prove itself ..all in the dreaded parvo virus days... the dog was a monster.big lad,but very agile and quick as you like..with more stamina than a saluki..it looked like a saluki cross in colour..everyone would have liked to see what happened with the bitch..because the dog was a top dog as they say. funny how things turn out sometimes. theres not many out there who are willing to put a pedigree bitch to a running dog...because as usual ..everyones in for the money dogs nowadays. remeber when i was a young un ...there was a few staffy whippets about too..nice little bushers.apart from the bleeding ears all the time. good post vin Quote Link to post
