Was talking to the police wildlife officer at scone fair today.He was showing me a drag snare and other stuff.Any way he was telling me that the drag snare was found in a womans garden with a very angry stripey attached.I was telling him about the break away snare woodga had made.Her hadnt heard of it but says seemed a good idea.He wasn't anti snaring at all he said they do a good job as long as they are set properly and checked regulary.Was actually pleasant to speak to a cop who knows what he was talking about.

I work beside a lot of ex police and i dont trust them there not many that wouldn't turn there granny in ,nice to know theres one good one out there

I was shocked when i saw the table with the gins and drag snares i thought here we go big lecture on the evils of hunting.No he chatted away and was definaetly not anti trapping

glenn has the idea,s and i get to test them out in the field he,is always coming up with new inovations which are simple but effective ,as a result of glenns knowledge and trapping and snaring brain snares will be around for a wile yet

scothunter was it alan stewart , from tayside police , or the lad, mckinnon, from grampion police, both are wildlife police officers . i spoke to them both up at scone fair on friday , by the way alan stewart , was an excellent rabbit snarer. alan has already got samples of my breakaway fox and rabbit snares .

by the description it would be him , the guy was okay to speak to , he was saying that he had dealt with a couple of recent incidents in the grampian region , and that two prosecutions will be following shortly.
