maty j 6
Thanks guys, keep the ideas coming. I was looking at the Dee last night actually, well online. I printed of a handy map that shows alot of the different pools and whats in them etc but it's just finding were they are at this time of the year. I've been doing a bit of googleing and found that a few salmon have been caught recently on the Dee. Would it be best trying the upper or lower part and would that change with the times of year?? I'll have a look for Barmouth fishing when i have a minute Coop, thanks mate. Any luck last night M?? Quote Link to post
mackem 26,709
Last night mate?Bit of a strange night,we went to one of the best chalk-streams in south-east england just for a look see, took the lamp, saw some monster brownies including a tiny pool with loads in,big ones, and the pool was only the size of the average living room, filed the location away for the future, then we went looking for new lamping permission,it was 2am so kind of late to knock and ask permission and unfortunately all we saw were several types of deer Where were those pesky rabbits? mackem 26,709
The pool packed with Brownies? Its ina rather "Unusual" location But has been earmarked for a little project Quote Link to post
maty j 6
what do you mean by unusual then It is a shame when that happens, If it's anything like our fields the 4x4'ers have been shooting hard. On a patch of my perm theres loads and loads of hares. Shame the fields are small and don't really provide a safe shot. Quote Link to post
mackem 26,709
Unusual?I was thinking of putting a tin of sweetcorn and a tin-opener on the line, its got to temp the biggest hardest fish right? But the pool itself is in a f***ing ridiculous location, you would have to see it to understand Quote Link to post
maty j 6
Sounds like some good fish M and a nice spot too. Forget the corn just get them mackrel feathers in again, they'll be queing up to take them Edited July 6, 2008 by maty j Quote Link to post
mackem 26,709
I am sure I can expand on the mackerel feather theme this time Maty, you would be shocked to learn what I have in my armoury Quote Link to post
