mackem 25,990
There ARE guides etc,but people like Jean-francoise Helias will charge you 100 quid+ for a days fishing whereas you can turn up at a venue for yourself, hire rod, reel, bait etc and fish for 15-20 quid(the prices have rocketed up,I used to pay £5,but theres a lot of IGFA records on the water)A british guy JOE TAYLOR a few years back got a 400+Lb fish on the lake, took 7 hours to land if I remember correctly, theres good sea-fishing in the south for Giant trevally, shark etc,but I prefer coarse so I stayed on the lakes http://www.megafishingthailand.com/content...category/17/41/
Ricky-N.p.p 0
Mauritius, but I doubt you'll get the Marlin's or yellow finned tuna at that time of year there but there should be sailfish, spearfish, dorado, wahoo other tuna and shark species had a try for the marlin in dom rep last year, just a dorado to the boat though ! http://i219.photobucket.com/albums/cc165/r...pp/P5120022.jpg

mackem 25,990
You could always do some EXTREME angling, set up your tackle and fish for the carp in the lake surrounding the Golden Temple inAmritsar,I know they will take bait as I fed them from my hands, you should get some good runs
craftycarper 0
theres spain for the carp and monster cats in the river whats it called is it the ebro?, cuba supposed to be good but like florida i think the weather is the wrong time, oz and mix it with a hol of a lifetime, great place to go...france for carp if you want to stay in a bivvie by a lake for the duration saying that a lot of brits i believe are now taking on waters there offering the works....canada not to sure about, wheres that place wilson went a few years ago for the giant sturgeon, crikey they were as big as the boat...parts of africa'a coastline i believe has some great shore fishing....or try the states for a bit of back of the woods noodling..... ChrisJones 7,975
I'd recommend Florida. It will have cooled down a little in September. You've got superb bass fishing in the Everglades and some great sea fishing all around the Atlantic coast, Florida keys and the Gulf of Mexico. Put it this way. You pack the Mrs and kids off to Disney, while you f**k off for some fishing!

Skol 0
I can highly recommend the River Ebro in Spain. for some of the best fishing in Europe Big Catfish, Carp, Zander etc. Cheap flights with easy jet or Ryanair into Reus or Barcelona. Lots of cheap B&B around Tortosa or rent a caravan by the river. Good local restaurants and cheap booze I had my first catfish there, an 87lb Zoo creature. They go up to 200lb. Google 'Catfish Ebro' for lots of Brits offering boat fishing and 'all included' trips. Planning a trip myself soon... cant wait. Skol
