socks 32,253
my missus is hell bent on getting a weimaraner as a pet saying that i will probably use it for picking up on the local shoot if the training goes ok ... i just wanted to know what are they like trainability wise ? are they a nightmare pup ? do they have any silly little traits that you need to watch out for ??? it will be living in the house so are they destructive etc ........ i am confident in my ability to train most dogs to do most things but my missus is going to be the primary trainer of this dog as it will be her companion and a heads up on a new breed is always the sensible option ......... Simoman 110
I trained two for obedience, nosework and manwork. Both were a little headstrong and OTT but the nosework was excellent.
