jonnyboi 0
Hi everyone I was screwing on the silencer the other day and I managed to snap off the adaptor The question is, does anyone know how to remove the adaptor if its loctited onto the main barrel. the reason for loctiting was that the thread had gone on the little grub screw. Would I have to replace the whole barrel? thanks, Jonny Edited July 4, 2008 by jonnyboi Quote Link to post

Grim Reaper 1
Hi everyone I was screwing on the silencer the other day and I managed to snap off the adaptor The question is, does anyone know how to remove the adaptor if its loctited onto the main barrel.Yep - pour boiling hot water from the kettle over the end of the adaptor where it joins the barrel, and that will soften the loctite enough for you to remove it the reason for loctiting was that the thread had gone on the little grub screw. Would I have to replace the whole barrel? Not ness-a-stick-a-celery - see above thanks, Jonny Hope this helps you mate All the Best, Grim Quote Link to post

Grim Reaper 1
its a pleasure my good man!!! No worries - glad to help out. The boiled water trick has never failed for me yet - the last time i used it was when i took my original AA mod apart to look at the specs, which in turn is what made me want to buy the weirarch mod. The AA mod is now back together and acting as a spare if i should need it. Regards, Grim. Quote Link to post
