midnight 657
well still no takers !!! what has become of working dogs you have to ask yourself . i can remember when breeding a working litter was good fun , and you got to meet alot of sound people with the same things in common .. has the hunting ban realy had this much effect ??? this is the last working litter for me , its no fun producing good strongpups and not one finding its way to working homes ! there still here all 9 of them who ever comes has pick of the litter dog or bitch . dare 1,103
they should be priced the same anyway unless the red noses are always the better dogs. Nice pups i might add.
Bobo 135
Both parents look hell of a clean, maybe this is whats putting folk off. Don't get me wrong i know you can get a pup from even untried parents and given the right chances and up bringing it can make a good worker but you can swing it in your favour getting them from working parents. Might just be the pics making them appear that way though.
midnight 657
ok lets do an answer sesion . the red nose was dearer because i was gona keep them so put a high price on them to stop folks from hagling over them !! my choice to do , but now desided not to keep them . the parent working question . the father has a fractured skull leaving him with a sunken eye brow ( all vet treated 3 years ago ) from a lamping accident , hes been degloved on his right hind leg , an accident when lamping again i dint notice he had done it and carryed on lamping him and catching rabbits . hes had alot of stitch work to his under carrage from wire cuts from retreaving rabbits . he was un dew clawed as a pup and tore one off again lamping , i had them both removed by a vet as a 2 year old dog ! the dog must have had over 100 stitchs in his working life !! now i wont lie hes no fox dog he will hit them but will not kill them , pups from him to a whippet greyhound bitch i had have killed foxs tho . he can or did take january hares , thousands of rabbits feathered game small deer . the dogs a grafter but past it now . he is 8 years old and the pic of him posing was taken at 18 months and then he was just starting ! the bitch came to us as a mature dog from ant g . she is a sound bitch who has only don a bit since we had her and now lives with my disabled brother so she dont get out doing much now either . she has a good prey drive and has taken a few bits . now my pedagree . im 30 years old now and started as a skinner at belvoir fox hounds aged 12 , and iv never stopped since then , i reckon i know how to breed a litter of pups and what makes a working dog . iv owned and worked pits in my time and dont like there stability if im honest . so the legal option of stafford is good enough for me . and it should be to you lot to . i dont know what the deal is on here but there seems to be a shite vibe about the place of late , and the pups are sound health and rased right , at the money we are asking tell me thats wrong and why and i might agree . a question i would like asking is how many greyhounds are tested before some one lobs a mock pit up it or a collie to make lurchers ? this is not the case with this litter , the bitch might not be tested to breaking point but shows enough spirtit to be tryed as a brood bitch for small game lurcher production ( somthing i will never repeat ) ok hopfully we can get back to some posative coments and maybe even see some of the pups in the kennels of people who like a nice littel power house lurcher .
