mole catcher 1
Now i found him totally the other way when i bumped into him at the east anglian game fair last year. I was with my boy and we had just bought him his first float rod and we walked up and politely asked him if he would sign the show programme for the boy. he asked what rod did he have and what stall did we buy the rod from and a few more questions, after he signed the programme he stood and chatted to the boy about his hopes for the season and where i would be taking him. I must admit i found him ok and to be honest it must get on your nerves each time your out strangers keep asking the same questions. but then again if you dont want the fame dont do the tv shows and look for being a star. undisputed 1,664
Even Twenty years ago he was a prick. I fished a charity comp with him here in Ireland, it was held in the K Club, very posh. Anyway I was two pegs away from him and the prick had two minders behind him to keep his fans away Later at the after comp dinner, some lads who were working that day helping out with the comp tried to get him to sign books and so on...... guess what he did....... prick only went and had the lads remover from the hotel, mind you the prick has just singed books for the hotel owner and other TV clebs who fished that day. I found him to be a total ass hole, glad I never really looked up to him. Ha ha! luv the idea this guy has minders...ffs he's a fisherman...celeb is def the new religion....feel the same about tv chef's...the worlds a funny place right enough! Quote Link to post

I dislike him because I used to go to the Gambia and fish every year. When Wilson was featured there, the price went up by 300% and with the crew he and I fished with. I baulked and some fat Yorkshire guy (no offence meant to fat or Yorkshire people) went out with said crew and caught a 100lb shark, got it all on video and everything! Was I glad we were going home a couple of days later. He's a good angler though, whatever you think of him. Quote Link to post

Guest friedrice
You'd grunt to if every time your out some stranger walked up to you and said "where can I catch a fish" or "where's good around here".Maybe you should have started with "Hi John, I'm your biggest fan. Love your shows". That sounds like the opening of a Slim Shady song Neil.....Dear John,I will be your biggest fan.....PS,we should be together too" Old JW was probably terrified that paul was going to get him pregnant and drive off a bridge with him trapped in the boot Learn a lesson from it paul, dont be in awe of a guy just because he fishes and is on TV,he still s**ts,burps, and farts just like everyone else He fishes some of the waters we fish, though oddly enough I havent seen him when I visit your right mate. there are better fishermen around than wilson. if only the world could know the truth.
