I have just started subscribing to EDRD again after a break of a few years. Hoping it had gone back to what it used to be but was disappointed. No disrespect to our fellow dogmen across the pond but I think there's too many foreign articles now. Surely there's enough going on in this country workwise to fill a magazine? While I'm on my high horse I'd like to say how I used to enjoy Cymro's articles on hunting but articles on whippet racing don't belong in a hunting mag, the space better taken by terrier or lurcherwork. For me Harcombes articles are the highlight of each mag, but the contributions of Peter Tulip, Terry Duggan, Jake, Eddie Chapman, Pat.R.Dale, Gerry Emmsley etc are the past authors who really made the mag an exhilarating read. Again my apologies if I've offended anyone, just my opinion

Let's say someone like young Mr Darsey did take over-you can look at it in a different way he may attract (might be the wrong word ) new,fresh or different writers to the fore through his editorship and also a new readership some people have told me they don't subscribe to it anymore because of what is written and included.I'm not saying he or anyone else will take over and it might just die a natural death with the retirement of DH,who knows

please darcy take over. and i hope your not a mate of that jason powel. im sick of his name in the mag pisses me off every month.

jason this,jasons dog done that give us some air to breathe. there are others out there with terriers to and not only powel.

and in any mag the publicity can make they're dogs look better than most,but in the real world of teriers bthey aint no better than anyones

from day one myold manhas had the mag. but the renewel aint going to be sent this time. he's had it with the mag.

Well lads what do you make of this author and his books ar they any good hes had a few books but what ar they like ?

ive got a few of dh books and mags they are top notch, they are from a man that has and still walks the walk.he tells it how it is, his writings are from years of experience in the field, he has a go at the corrupt goverment, stands up for terrier and lurcher work, even after his set back, he is back out with his mates and his dogs, WHO COULD FILL THE MANS SHOES, THE ANSWER IS NO ONE, as for the edrd mag not being very good, dh said the mag belongs to its readers, so if your not happy get writings articles for him to publish,

IF YOU DONT LIKE WHATS IN THE MAG THEN SEND IN SOME OF YOUR OWN ARTICLES THAT WAY DAVE WILL BE ABLE TO INCLUDE THEM AND ENCOURAGE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME, ITS A THANKLESS JOB HE HAS TRYING TO GET ARTICLES TO FILL A MONTHLY MAG, I MEAN GENUINE ARTICLES. sorry just noticed its in caps.

nothing is true in the terrier world these days.venom.your best worker might be the worst ive ever seen and so on.there is always better out there.

would powel be known as he is if there was no edrd mag ??/ i dont think so .just another south wales terrier man,and there's loads of them down that way who wouldent like to be in books and mags.at the end of the day though he's made a few bob out of it and all down to edrd mag.
