kennel cough

just finished spraying my kennel's with 22 quids worth of jays fluid so i hope that will be the end of it. the reason i am going to as much trouble is i have another pup coming in a fortnight's time and don't want the little mite getting the cough. thanks for all your replies.

fecking hell man you will need respitory masks for the dogs :D i dont

think any thing will live in that kennel again mate :D

took the dogs out it first mate :laugh: the dogs are in the other kennel got up this morning to go to sconepalce and could still smell that jays off my hands had a shower as soon as i finished and have washed my hands 10 times it dont half stink will leave it to air till the pup comes in a fortnight.

This maybe a daft question but have you had your dogs vaccinated?

As was said its air-born virus, but if you have to wash out the kennel ,- household bleach kills anything you may have there. It was the only thing that stopped parvo in a large kennel just up north from me.

the only problem with the kennel cough vaccine, which is sprayed up the nostrils, is that the virus mutates all the time just like our common cold. Also, it is said that the vaccine lasts only six months or so, and when a different strain of the cough appears will be ineffective against it even if it (the vaccine) is still working.
