Malt 379
I'm taking a few of my ferret kits to school tomorrow, as I've been asked by my 6 year old daughters teacher. I'm going to take a few purse nets in as well, and try to whet a few appetites! I'd take the dog as well, but she's in season. Quote Link to post

masmiffy 82
Great invitation so good luck. My kids once told teacher at primary school that 'daddy goes hunting and shooting' all I got was a fecking lecture off the teacher and the school!!! Bear in mind the school is in a small village in the countryside!! Put it down to ignorant town / city folk who move to the 'countrside' What do they expect? Malt 379
It went well, only one little nip! The little lad just laughed, put him down & picked up another one straight away. Quote Link to post
Funfuret 1
Glad it went well It's the mums/dads that often cause PR problems...Haven't you got somewhere for little Jonnie/Janet to wash their hands (out in middle of a field during an event..I think not ). Neal 1,869
I work as a supply teacher in a few inner city schools and a few years back the reception class were invited to a "city-schools-only" country fair. As a precursor to the event I took in a couple of ferrets and my kelpie and gave a ferreting display in the school hall. I always tell all the kids that I teach that I work my dogs and I've had several tell me that their parents or grand-parents hunt. One seven year old in particular tells me with a knowing wink and a smile how many rabbits he caught at the weekend whenever he goes out ferreting with his grandad. Quote Link to post
