The best hare killer I have ever seen run in the UK (and a superb all rounder) was a borzoi cross, we should make more of them over here. I'm hoping to go out there to see some work in the autumn. A couple of years back a woman stayed in the village with a borzoi bitch and it wasnt much slower than the ex-track bitch I had at the time, I was really suprised by just how fast it could go and it seemed to have terrific stamina Quote Link to post

A couple of years back a woman stayed in the village with a borzoi bitch and it wasnt much slower than the ex-track bitch I had at the time, I was really suprised by just how fast it could go and it seemed to have terrific stamina dont you think me and others who mostly run hares and other stuff for the past 20yrs, would use the borzoi breed instead of the saluki, there isnt any decent stuff in this country if there was and they were better than the saluki they would have been used by now, the ones ive seen run, ran like a pure deerhound very slowly.
