well the best for me would be some kind of collie grey x as every collie grey sort of breed ive seen have turned out into very good working lurchers.

Dont think there is such a thing as a best cross mate...everyone has their own preference I'm a collie x man myself then anything with deerhound but everyones different....how's that pup of yours?

Thats a load of shat coz iv had bull cosses catching just as regular as any other cross n they where half cross bulls

iv noticed that most saluki types iv come across wont even touch a fox wever it be a bull/saluki or just a saluki/grey........." BEFORE EVERY1 WHO HAS SALUKI CROSSES STARTS CRYING OUT MY SALUKI X WILL SMASH FOX AFTER FOX BLA BLA BLA......I DID SAY MOST IV COME ACROSS!

The Australian cattle dog x greyhound is a good cross, I would like to see it taken further, say 5/8 grey x 3/8 cattle dog.
