HW100

Recommended Posts

Hi I am new to this Forum so I hope I get it right

I have 2 x HW100's a Mk1 and a Mk2 both of them have developed separate problems

The first one although fully charged will not fire at all it seems there is no air being released into the chamber

The second one has such low power even the Rats laugh at me :)

We need these guns to deal with Rats on our small holding as they are causing a lot of problems both of these guns have had little use probably less than 1000 pellets each yet they have just stopped being effective.

Now we have found yet another problem when we fill the canister with air it is very hard to undo the air canister from the adapter and when we do manage to release it most of the air escapes. I only have one adapter for both guns as there seemed to be little point in buying 2 of them when we only have one bottle of air.

Any suggestions would be appreciated I am located on the Isle of Sheppey Kent

Many thanks

before you pull the valve off is there not a release valve that will let the air out of tube. the high pressure in the tube is what s making it hard to get off one thinks

In this case the answer is no you have to remove the canister from the gun and screw it into the filling adaptor that has a solid pin that pushes in the valve on the canister to allow the air to enter you then unscrew it quickly to release it. It has never been a problem before but of late it has been locking up and not releasing the valve quick enough, perhaps I do need to replace it and see if a new adapter works any better. We used to have a Air Arms S410C that I loaned to someone who has vanished along with my gun, this had a release valve to let the air out of the hose as it had a non return valve but if you open this valve with the HW100's it just empties the canister it is a stupid idea and I was surprised that Weihrauch has designed it like this.
