Moorland Keeper 0 Posted June 29, 2008 Report Share Posted June 29, 2008 (edited) Ok, up for sale is a Loncin 250cc Fourstroke Farm Quad, exactly the same as a Jianshe Puma and believe it or not I've seen a Honda Fourtrax that was exactly the same! so even though its of Chinese origin dont be put off by this as its really good quality and reliable, not like some others available that just drop to bits, So I believe they all originate from the same factory. Its a 2006 model and has hardly seen any use at all and looks really good and tidy cosmetically. It has front and rear racks, headlights and Towball. The Engine starts and runs brilliantly with loads of grunt and has a 5 speed gearbox. It is also Shaft drive so you dont need to worry about chains & Sprockets etc. This is the ideal tool for getting around your permission on and ATV gun racks are cheap and readily available. Electric and Pull start, but will require a new battery as its not much life left in it to start it on the button, probably because it does'nt get used very often so it wont have done the battery anygood, any motorcycle shop will have one for about £25-£30 Quad also has reverse but for some unknown reason will not engage, but I believe its something simple and easily accessable behind a small cover but I just dont have the time to have a look at it, It goes fine in all Forward gears and without fault. I also forgot to mention that it's also Red & Black in Colour. I'm only selling it because I simply and genuinely dont have the time to use it anymore So with the 2 minor faults listed I'm going to price it to sell quickly, so if your after a good reliable quad cheap then this is for you!!!!! Bargain at £600 ovno I also have a dedicated quality fully galvanised quad trailer to suit if you also require that, its not a home made one and is in Mint Condition with lighting board, again bargain at £225 OR if you want the pair I'll let them go for £775 ovno All in, saving you £50! Or would consider swapping for a car. PM me for my contact number if interested, I'm away with work until Wednesday and I'll upload some pics of the quad then as I dont have any to hand but have one of the trailer for you to look at now. First is the turn buckle on the rerverse shift shaft has loosened/moved. Need adjusting until shifting is accessable (trial and error). Other is clutch adjustment, a big screw on the gearbox, opposite side to the reverse shifter. Had the same prob on my Loncin, easily sorted with a bit of mechanical knowledge by your local agri mercants. or DIY. HTH. Cheers, D. Link to post Share on other sites
