well where to start after doing 20 years of target shooting in clubs and semi pro i thought it may be time to branch out to pest control did everthing above bord sent off for my insurence got that through sent off letters applying for shooting permission door to door and cold calling and it eventually paid off i had a land owner agree to me shooting on his land when he came back from his holls (friday just gone) i phoned him this morning just to see if his holls went ok and to double check it was ok to go up there on monday he said that while he had been on his holls someone else who had permission to shoot the land with airguns had been up with a shotgun shooting which in turn had spooked his neighbours horses which broke through the fence doing 300 pounds worth of damage and untill he finds out who it is hes is stopping all shooting on his land as if it was not hard enough getting permission people have to do something stupid like that and spoil it for every one else so on the off chance that the person in question reads thease bords i hope your quite happy with your self and to the rest of you guys and girls on here i am sorry i had to vent

well it shouldn,t take him to long to find the culprit if as you say they had permission to use air rifles, unless he has loads of shooters on the land ,in which cases you would be better looking to accuire some vermin rights solely for yourself in writing .teams of guns on land is a deffinate NO NO,appart from spooking everything incedents like the one mentioned occur and no one admits to it so all are rebuked if this gets sorted approach the land owner and ask to be the only one shooting and that you will also be an extra pair of eyes for him out and about the place as long as your a regular visitor and do the job required he should say yes good luck mate

in my opinion you DONT want a shared permission....unless its with someone you know and trust.

 

if someone else does somthing they shouldn't..............you all get tarred with the same brush !!!!

 

sorry to hear your news borak...........try and get some exclusive permission.......then you can enjoy !!!!!

yeh i agree guys a sole permission basis would be great the downside to that is that nearly all the permissions around this area are shared or are looked after by game keepers so there isnt really many other options
