jet 0
I don't really know the law, but as I understand it you can dispatch a suffering animal in as humane a way as you have to hand. I have killed many injured creatures with a hammer; draw a vertual line from right eye to left ear, and vic virsa, hit it as hard as you can in the vee created an jobs a goodun. However as presuemably you have set these snares I think you are on very dodgy ground. I would buy a gun !...410 is perfectly adiquite at the range of snarred fox. A GOOD HUNTER ALLWAYS RESPECTS HIS PREY!!! Quote Link to post
Rolfe 2
Unless you have the means and knowledge to HUMANELY dispatch a trapped fox you should not be setting snares or cage traps for them anyway. Too many people set snares and traps without giving a moments thought as to how they will deal with the animal once it is caught. Just because a fox (or any other animal for that matter) is deemed a pest it doesn't mean it should suffer a cruel and inhumane death at the hands of an inexperienced individual. These comments are not aimed at anyone in particular but are just general observations and ones i feel particularly strongly about. Rolfe. Quote Link to post

Tallyho 181
i think if you dont know how to despatch a fox then you shouldnt be putting snares down. Quote Link to post
paul the poacher 2
TOTALLY AGREE ROLFE MATE SPOT ON WE LOVE TO HUNT REYNARD BUT WE SHOULD ALSO RESPECT HIM , HE HAS THE BRAINS TO OUTWIT US TIME AND AGAIN SO WHEN WE ACTUALLY OUTWIT HIM HE SHOULD BE GIVEN THE ULTIMATE RESPECT .THINK OF IT THIS WAY IF YOU WAS GIVEN THE DEATH SENTENCE WOULD YOU WANT TO FEEL THE PAIN OR NOT?
