redrob... 0
just wondering if anyone could put me right on landywoods chicken backs-carcasess, you can buy 4 blocks for a pound, or 45pence for a pound of chicken wings, which is the best deal, wings or backs, anyone feed the backs-carcasess, would there be to much bone in the carcasess to feed every day, any info would be appreciated befor the new freezer arrives thanks. skycat 6,174
Well I hate to say it but Landywoods have just let me down.....again! What is the point of them phoning me up to ask what I want (one week in advance of delivery, when they then phone at 6 in the morning on the delivery day and say they haven't got what I want: economy mince is all they could give me: 90%lungs/lights! No way! This is the second consecutive month they have done this to me, so its bye bye Landywoods and over to TPMS, even if they don't deliver to my door as I'm just outside their delivery area. I'll have to drive for 20 minutes to meet their driver somewhere: but its worth it if my dogs get what they deserve in terms of decent grub. Has anyone else had any trouble with them recently? Guest little lurcher
i had less than 24hrs notice on what i wanted for delivery and i was an hour late in my call back so cant have an order for another month, didnt go down well !!! also the chicken carcasses i ordered were full of fly eggs andsmelt awful when i defrosted them , so i boiled them up gut will not order them again , the lamb tripe i think is brilliant value at 22p lb but is the hassle worth it ? i get pet mince local at 10p lb , going to try the link for the dogfoodcompany as they seem ok although dearer on a lot
Dawn B 212
Sadly this is how landwoods are and the reason years ago we changed to TPMS. TPMS have only once in 4 years said they couldnt deliver and that was that they didnt have the entire amount only half of it, they bought us that on the usual day and within 48hrs we had the rest of the order. Never had any problems at all.
ghostlyease 17
Is there a link or contact details for TPMS, would like to have a look, info I can pass on. Im ok as I get what I want from my butcher, he just gives me what he would throw away so I get a nice mixture, im feeding 3 Staffords and 1 mastiff every other day for £5 a week, I often have left overs that I give away to friend. I googled it and found the details, lol............ should have done that in the first place, sorry. http://www.tpms.co.uk
skycat 6,174
I've just ordered from TPMS for the first time, but I'll have to go to Bedford to pick it up as they don't deliver into Cambridgeshire. Maybe they would extend their delivery area if more people ordered their stuff.
Simoman 110
Has anyone else had any trouble with them recently? Must admit skycat I have used landywoods for around 4/5 years and never had any problems.

Guest WILF
I have never had any problems with Landywood, one small gripe is that the minced chicken they just delivered was pretty near the mark as regards being "on the turn"..........the dogs dont mind it a bit ripe anyway, but it should be fresher than that. We had this all the time, it was stinking and green! Bought to us in the back of a blue estate car! They even blamed an asian festival for poor quality and late delivery once! Dawn.
