out of season my dog 2 mile am an 2 pm........ cleary they are bounding about and running so my 2 miles per walk probably equal 6 mile to them!!!!...

My dogs are well......... but no where near as fit as they are when working nightly.............. i do tend to let my dogs relax in the summer months.... My dogs get hammered everynight almost from the start of the season until the clocks go back...so to me theres nothing to gained by having your dog like granite all year round, and buring them out .....

I personally observe the seasons an increase fittness levels the closer I get to the season.

5-6 miles a day is fine to keep your dog happy and well and in a certain degree of fitness.................. but as someone mentioned...... not enough to get them fit enough for hard graft...

then again......if you happy to go out on night and have 2 or 3 runs and home.........then you're doing just fine how you are
