targa 5
I have a Weirauch hw which is a good gun paid £200 s/h for it the only prblem with it really is a little heavy, but with the sling to carry it it's really not that bad. I'm looking to buy a second gun and have been to look at a Air Arms tx200 which seemed like a really nice gun to hold just looks a bit potchy to load up? may get a pre charged as a second gun though! best thing to do is go along to a gun shop and have a look at a few and get a feel of what different guns are like to hold! good luck and hope you find the right gun soon. I own a HW80k .177 and its a real hard hitting tool! Bunnys at 60 yards no problem. I ordered a second gun too: a HW80 .22 Quote Link to post

Deker 3,478
hi guys wondering if u could help i wanna buy an air rifle (spring) but not sure which one. what would u say is recommended????? i think the hw 97k but give me your ideas please There is not a simple answer here......the Weirauch range is excellent VFM but they are all heavy...typical German overengineering...if you are easy with carrying around a heavy gun then fine and yes, probably offer some of the best VFM you can get...but there are plenty of good guns, cheaper and lighter....what is the best is down to the individuals requirements and budget! Symon 0
hi guys wondering if u could help i wanna buy an air rifle (spring) but not sure which one. what would u say is recommended????? i think the hw 97k but give me your ideas please I have an Airarms TX200HC mk 3, its a great air rifle and has never let me down. Its quite heavy at around 8.5 - 9 lbs but the alternatives in this price range are all quite heavy! I have always killed with it one shot! touch wood!! B.A.R recomends it as the best springer rifle on their site and so far I would say its lived up to that for me! Hope this helps Good luck with your purchase decision. Quote Link to post
moxy 617
I have had countless springers, most of which i have been very pleased with (hw). The best i have ever had the pleasure of has to be the hw98 sporter, what a gun!!! It wasnt the best gun for me as its a very long rifle and im a very short person, but it was a joy to shoot. For some stupid reason which to this day i cant understand why, i sold it. That was a fair piece of kit, but you wont go wrong with a hw Quote Link to post
stillair1 16
All springers and rams are hold sensitive. With a top quality unit the accuracy can be on par with pcp. The fly in the ointment is the nutt behind the butt. Any muppet can shoot a pcp reasonably well, but someone who can shoot a springer to its limits are in another league.
