Lennard 10
Ok had a Hungarian look at it...it says what you would expect: - The website is of a club dedicated to conserve the hunting with dogs and the hungarian greyhound - It gives the rules of the club, the rules of coursing, the rules of membership of breeders - Coursing is legal for sure - most activities take place in the East where there are great planes (pusta) - Galleria means gallery...so if you want to see some pics They have a link page...mostly links to breeders of hungarian greyhounds and hunting departments/legislation... Panna 68
I was over there in 1982,it is a beautiful country, and, the people are magnificent, especially the young women(but, unfortunately they don't age very well.....trust me)I was in a small village calle Szentendre, and, another village just outside Budapest called Leányfalu, there is a very big hunting fraternity in Hungary, and,a lot of people take hunting holidays over there.I think I am right in saying that at the moment the exchange rate is fantastic(in our favour)and,if it could be better than when I went there you just cannot spend your money, unless of course you want to be eating and drinking English food and beer while you are there, and then you will be shafted big time.I can remember buying a meal for 9 people while I was there, beer included and having change out of £8.00...........A really beautiful place with beautiful people that still like the English................Martin. Hey Martin, I'm from Szentendre! Everyone of you like to have a Magyar Agar (or Magyar Vizsla, which is the Hungarian Pointer), or is willing to visit Hungary for a good hunt (either with slighthouns or terriers) would be happy to assist you! You are always welcome! Anna Quote Link to post
