BlueCoyote 0
Wonder what breed is in the dog As for ghosts ya should see the horror I have to wake up to each morning lol i was wondering if someone would ask that looks like a doberman to me.... or maybe ... ooorrrr.... coon hound? ooooooorrrrrrrrrr...... one of these? lol ghost dogs, devil dogs, hell hounds, etc and so on are rampant in folklore, mythology and ghost stories. weird thing too, now that thats mentioned... i woke up one morning, bleary eyed as usual, looked out the window beside the bed and saw a big black and tan dog playing the sniffing game with one of my bulldogs.. you know how they turn around in circles trying to sniff each other... just as i was getting worried about a fight the black and tan dog disappeared into thin air. it just......... faded away. now i know i was bleary eyed, but... that kinda scared me lol
Guest Ditch_Shitter
NO ghosts don't exist.....................Martin. :wallbash: Martin? Has it Ever, for one hesitant fraction of a quavering millisecond, entered your tiny little, hermetically sealed mind that Yours may not be the Only opinion worthy of consideration in all time? FFS! I would point out that ye seem to have this habit of making curt, seemingly self seen unassailable Statements of 'Fact' on so many of the points ye respond to. Infact, for the house, I'll just invite ye to prove yeself: Please, now, provide citations to where ~ in litrature, on line or in 'Real Life' ye find basis for ye assertion; " NO ghosts don't exist.". Nothing personal. I'd expect the same of Stephen Hawking. Failing that? How about ye learn to use some preface such as; " In my personal opinion / Experience / Learning - what ever ". Then expand a little, from ye own all encompassing knowledge and give us all a clue what the f*ck ye basing ye Statements on? I try to. If I forget to? I'm open to Question. I trust you are? Fried; " Do ghosts exist " ? That's a tough one, mate. Like, surely we first have to sort out what any given culture might consider to be a " Ghost " in the first place? I seem to recall that some peoples have far more 'spiritual' connection with their dead ancestors than the british do. Such people consider the 'ghosts' of those long deads watch their own activities and can even, perhaps take certain actions on them? I suspect we're talking Malayan here? This is all 'David Attenborough' / National Geographic sort of stuff I've seen down the years. In england though a ghost is generally taken to mean a visible manifestation of a former physical entity, right? Like a hologram of a once living person? Some reasonably 'real' and 'normal' looking f*cker, who then walks straight into and seemingly through a wall; Shit like that? Ok. I think I can just about, hand on heart, swear on my Dogs lives that I have Never seen a " Ghost ". Wish I had. I've heard annecdotal reports from enough of my own - now dead - relatives of 'Actual Sightings'. My Great Aunt. My cousin. Some bugger else; Can't remember who now. My own Mum or some other Auntie? I don't remember. But these stories were told to me in matter of fact confidance. They saw what they saw - 'Ghosts' - and got on with their lives. Me? Like I say; Never seen a 'Ghost'. BUT ..... and here even Martin will have to excuse Me, because this isn't something I think I've ever disclosed to or discussed with Anyone - I may or may not even put it on my family tree site ..... The night before my own Dad died - in an unforseeable motor wreck - I ... how can I put this? I ..... Ok. F*ck it. Now Martin can take me to the cleaners. I'm simply not able or willing to go this deeply for the sake of a public forum 'discussion'. F*ck it. But, yes; I saw and heard a " Sign ". A " Premonition ". Un .......... F*ck it. Sorry. Carry on. 'Do Ghosts Exist?'. I believe so. I just don't understand their nature.
Terrier man 38
Powerful stuff DS great read .... I myself have seen a ghost and i dont want to hear oh its got somthing to do with hunting so is that made up to be here.! Ditch i myself have lost a close member of my family a brother and feel strongly it was him i had seen that night.. This night in question was cold dark but not as dark that i couldnt see the 2 lads i was with. There was a dew on the grass and it was quite long... As we walked from field to field we checking for game we lamped one field ---- nothing so walked through that field to a better one... I usually walk faster then the lads so was walking on and looked to my side seen one of the lads thought thats weird hes up with me and walked on a bit further then heard them talking to each other a bit distante looked to the side he was still there turned around the lads where back a bit and turned back around he was gone ..... looked staight to the ground and seen the footsteeps in the long dew grass and seen where they stoped dead!! Iv also had a dream about seeing a ghost.. pffffff but how can you dream about somthing thats not real when a dream is somthing thats not real? I hear you asking but yet dreams can come through and so do ghosts...... All the best Terrier man

Kay 3,709
Well i believe i saw my friend who lived 50 miles away at the time she was in the process of taking her life , i had spoken to her at 12noon & all seemed ok, how wrong i was At approx 315 pm Dec 5th 2004 i set out with the dog as normal to go a walk across the fields to the back enterence of my sons school to met him as i did most days, the sun shone all that day , low winter sun that drives your eyes mad . As i approached the field i always checked to see if there were other dogs running loose before i let mine off the lead for a run , i had to sheild my eyes from the sun & i saw a lone figure walking away from me dresssed in black from head to foot, the only thing that strook me as odd was they walked very regemntal almost like a march . I then took my eyes off the person to let the dog off & as i looked up again the figure had gone, the sun had gone in & i could no longer see the person, it defied logic , i scanned the field , i went to the spot as did my dog & she sniffed the area , it was very strange I spotted my son coming towards me & i asked him if he had seen this person before he went on the field to meet me, no was his reply. On returning home i sat mulling over what i had seen & i had an overwelming smell of oranges , it just made no sence, it wasnt untill much later on that day i had an email that said she was found dead at home at approx 3.30pm friday 5th dec. It didnt regester even then , but during the early hours it came to me what i had seen, as i had told my husband what i saw hours before i heard of her death as did my mom i felt a little less stupid I believe it was a cricis apperition i saw iit wasnt scarey just very baffling untill i heard about her death

mackem 26,227
Your right in one thing DS,some races, cultures, ethnicities have a deeper "Connection"feeling, whatever with their departed ancestors,my mother-in-law still refers to death as souls being harvested and every all-souls-eve the entire family descend upon the local cemetary, which takes on the appearance of a rave for the night as each grave is visited from dusk-to-dawn by family members eating&sleeping beside, and chatting to their departed kin The thing is,they never forget
