jessdale 416
for digging in you will struggle to beat haix tibet forest boots. They are probably a bit too stiff and heavy for general mooching about but for digging in they are the dogs balls. Quote Link to post

Mish 1
STHIL the chainsaw people do some cracking boots. I recently purchased a pair from our local dealer and am well pleased with em ! They're a bit hard on your feet at first but after two or three mornings out are perfect. Got em just before that bad snow at christmas so they had a good test ! Cost me £85 but you can tell they're gonna last years. Quote Link to post

Guest DeeD
If you are after the best , then you probably need to go German , I know .....I know!!!!!!....But they are one of best makers of boots on the planet......Look for 'Lowa' or 'Hanwag' , there are some others but those two are the main manufacturers of military combat boots......£130 - £160 though , but the best. Check them out GERONIMO. These ones look good: http://www.worldofsurplus.com/ishop/1061/shopscr716.html , but they're a too steep! Quote Link to post

Hoggs of Fife sell them and I believe they have a web site, but don't buy them from there, they are 40 quid dearer than the boot shop in Halifax where I got mine from. Quote Link to post
