T78 4
as the title says! really, really p*ss me off! i placed an auction for a laptop that ended today, with the winner outbidding the 2nd high bidder by a fiver.all looked well and good, seemed to be a woman from london that had bought it.....until i received an email asking to re-invoice her and add £150 quid to the final price for postage to.....(yes,you guessed it!).....nigeria!! as her cousin was working there at the british embassy etc etc. i've reported it and obviously wont be sending anything ther but it wastes my time, genuine buyers time and i've now got to go to the hassle of filing an unpaid item dispute and reposting it otherwise it costs me the final selling fee's. and what gets me more than anything is that these fecking idiots really think you're daft enough to fall for it!!!!!! rant over!thankyou, you've been a very understanding audience!lol time for a now! Guest JohnGalway
First time I've heard of that Been burnt once or twice on Ebay but the vast majority of buys have been as advertised. I hope you get the situation sorted out Pit, I can imagine how annoying that is, just a proper waste of time.
T78 4
just had a read through some of ebays discussion boards, seems its not that uncommon. scammers hi jacking un suspecting peoples account and buying goods via them. im so p*ssed off as i would have been more than happy with the genuine second place bid! Guest Ditch_Shitter
Trouble is, mate; The Bay operate in their own f*cking dimension. They're now so completely divorced from the rules of Statutory Law, decency or even Reallity that niether Buyer nor Seller has a leg to stand on, if e Bay decrees. And ye'll find something covering that - which you've ' Agreed' to - buried in their ever so deeply buried, virtually impossible to get at and would take a room full of QC's a month of sundays to argue out, micro print. If it ain't there, to Their choosing? They'll lose all trace of ye correspondance while they damn well Put it there! PROVE it ain't there? They'll just f*cking ignore ye anyway. Been there. Done that. F*ck 'em! Just get onto the 'Second Bidder', get an addy and sell Her the f*cking lap top. Then Bay Message the Nigger and say ye so f*cking sorry but ye tripped, on the way to the post office, and the package went under the speeding wheels of an 18 wheeler which never stopped and ye never caught its number. Oh; And start that Bay Mail with something like, " Dearest Beloved - I Request Your Deepest Trust ". F*ck 'em!

J Darcy 5,871
They trie dot get my mate not long ago. Nigerians again....they sent an "official" Ebay email telling my mate that the monies were being processed, but in order to complete the full transaction he must email them the proof of posting number. he didnt of course, but how many thick fuckers are out there getting ripped off.....personally ebay should ban all the under developed countrys...if they cant afford to eat , then they cant afford to be spending their valuable coin on bloody electrical goods..... fair enough... Guest SHOT
as the last but one bidder was beaten by a fiver could you not offer them a second chance offer?save you relisting.
Gav 1,708
Had the same sort of thing when I tried to sell a mobly phone, I just marked it as unpaid and sold it to the next highest bidder. Think its second chance offer you can do if your happy with the price as you say you are, will save relisting and a bit of bother. Hope that helps. EDIT : I was typing the same as SHOT same time as he was posting a reply. Sorry to duplicate.
T78 4
i've just relisted it,mailed the second bidder to give them chance,no reply so relisted it... with a note to say will not post out of uk,least of all to nigeria!lol. what a waste of everyone's time etc.
mart123blue 0
I had a similiar thing with a car I was selling for a friend. Only listed it as a favour, and it only went for £400 which he was happy with. By the time we realised what was happening second place had lost interest etc. Absolute waste of time, this one wasn't even trying to scam me just won the auction and never replied. Saying that I do still think ebay is great
