ilovetoshoot12345 0
if you not neuter a hob (chop its testicles off completely) will it calm him down and take a bit of the smell away. the only reason i ask this is the wife wont stop moaning at the smell in the garden. i personly dont hve a problem at all with the smell but you know how it is. Kay 3,709
personally i think providing there kept clean , bedding etc & fed a good diet even an entire hob shouldnt smell that bad you can smell it outside, if theres a strong smell outside then it could be latrine areas need to be cleaned more often Quote Link to post

I'd be changing the wife Fortunately mine loves my ferrets. Most ferrets love a bath. Keep the water just warm, not hot, and quite shallow though, so as not to panic them. I use cucumber shampoo from the pet shop. Are you feeding dry food or meat, because that can influance the smell? Matt Quote Link to post

ilovetoshoot12345 0
if it shuts the wife up then i think its worth getting him neutered Quote Link to post
lgray88 4
my entire hob has abit of a whiff with him when his balls is droped as previously stated , but castration is pretty severe , batheing can make them smell worse ive heard as they try harder to give of there scent thus making it worse , i used to wash mine every so often but now there never washed but they do go in water but with no shampoo . id tell ur misses to get used to it or else , if you do decide to go for some form of treatment for yur ferret you may aswell spend alittle more and get the snip atleast that way hes use for something other than just ferreting ,i presume you work yor ferrets? liam Quote Link to post
