Guest Magwitch
Well i did my first season last year i bought a mk1 finder but am thinking of selling it and buying a mk3 as i'm not use to using the mk1 like some of the blokes that have been doing it for years so i guess i'm asking your thoughts on the mk3 and if i shoud swap?? keep it mate Mk3's are shite in my opinion the Mk1 doesn't make that awful noise and is spot on accurate. simple to use and a one handed affair. Hob&Jill 258
I would say switch to the mk3, I have both and much prefer the mk3....apart from the noise. Quote Link to post

will.f11 24
do what you wish to do because you will always get some for and some against. Its annoying sometimes. everyone has to split up. I dont use a finder myself but my friends do and they all prefere the mk1 Quote Link to post
will.f11 24
But if you do get another I will be happy to take the mk1 off your hands. I dont use one but it would be goodto have one in case I do need it Quote Link to post

The one 8,457
Sound's like your needing somebody to show you how to work it properly . Quote Link to post
will.f11 24
probably. I am doing fine without at the moment. The hedges around my place are all to hard to dig into. And unless you are on top of the hedge then you wouldnt be able to use a locator Quote Link to post

And unless you are on top of the hedge then you wouldnt be able to use a locator why cant you just use it "sideways" it will give you an indication where the ferret is, and indeed, if it is still in the burrow. I've packed ferreting in now, but if i were ever to get back into it, i wouldnt drop a ferret in a burrow without a locater collar on. Quote Link to post

I dont see the point in paying for one and not being able t use it very well. After all they never used to use them Quote Link to post
