saluki-whippet 0 Posted June 20, 2008 Report Share Posted June 20, 2008 alright , just thought id introduce my self , im from north east dont really know too much about hunting ect wanting to get into it more now i have some time got a saluki whippet (VAL) she is 13 months old had her from 10 weeks but never had a chance to get her out really had her out watching other dogs ect when she was a pup upto about 6/7 months but got a new job (N), just wanting to know if there is any chance for her really, if i can get her running still kept her as fit as my job allows have her on the beach when i can and just out and about with me she is about 21/22 inch black looks a lot more like a whippet , with saluki steam tugs (ears) and tail . nice slim frame any advice , thanks Quote Link to post

Take your time, get her exercise and as obedient as the two of you can get together. I dare to bet that she has the prey drive and it will only take 1 or 2 easy kills before she is tuned on. Big chance that within 15 posts from now you'll put the first pic of a kill up. The whippet longdogs I know are vicious killers of everything and pretty good at coming back.
