Simoman 110
I must admit I like boxing but I'm a much bigger MMA fan. Boxing has lost some of the characters who could talk the talk and walk the walk. With MMA I like the skill involved of utilising various arts and techniques against different opponents, Jui Jitsu, wrestling, boxing, submissions etc. The fighters from 10 years ago have become almost obsolete and many of yesterdays "top guys" have been beaten by new talent. I'm a huge Randy Couture fan and he has developed within the sport and hopefully one day he will fight Fedor. I think the sport is growing and will become more popular. As for Kimbo I think he will lose badly against the elite fighters JMO.

Randy is something else, didnt start training MMA till his 30's i think, awesome shape for his age, i'd like to see him against fedor or cro cop, will be interesting to see bisping when he gets a shot at anderson!!! i agree on kimbo, i think he'll be well outclassed!!!! Simoman 110
Randy was a wrestler in the army and an alternate for the greco roman Olympic team. His first MMA fight was in 97 when he was in his early 30's. The Fedor fight is the one Randy wants which is why he has relinqueshed his Heavyweight title and left the UFC as they couldn't get the fight, Fedor would have to be favourite but never count Randy out. Cro-cop has not looked good in recent matches and I don't think he could do much if Randy took him down. The thing about Randy is his tremendous conditioning, he altered his diet to increase his stamina so he wouldn't gas in fights and seems to always have a gameplan, thats what I like about MMA, the thinking fighters. There's alot of people looking into the greco wrestling now all down to him i'd imagine!!! I aint too sure about fedor, they said he didnt have a chance against tim sylvia and he nearly stopped him in 30 seconds!!! thats what i love about the sport, one punch, kick..etc can change everything!!! Cro cop always has loads of conflicting views, but the guy is f*****g deadly when on form!!!! i love his style of just walking opponents down!!! i think he was unlucky in his loss to gonzaga or whatever his name is, but these are the knocks in the sport!!!! I was dissapointed in mauricio shogun too, he destroyed rampage in pride, but looked complete shit against forest and gassed well early!!!!!
Simoman 110
I must admit I thought Sylvia would be too big and he has heavy hands but Randy put him down and took him down at will throughout the fight although Fedor has much, much more to his game The Griffin/Jackson fight could be a corker, could go either way. As for Bisping/Silva, I like Bisping but is he ready for Silva?? I'd like to see Bisping fight someone who will stand with him like Quarry or Leben, or even Franklin, now that I'd like to see. I think Lesnar could be "special", he won his debut quickly and in his second fight he lost to Mir as I think he was over excited and forgot how good Mirs Jui Jitsu is for a big fella.......... And heres some of Forrest Griffin and Rampage Jackson, current light heavyweight champ, without doubt the funniest man on the mike in sport.................. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zjSDc1pQtqA&feature=user

trappa 518
UFC everytime!! I did mma for a couple of years when i was younger (and fitter)! The main problem was i would go to work with bust lips, black eyes and some serious limps!! Its in a totally different class to boxing, which has been ruined by money. Boxing is so fixed now its ridiculous. Just for the record i went to UFC at newcastle and got dana whites autograph, and at UFC 85 i patted chuck liddell on the arm !! gnasher16 30,462
Boxing in this country is pretty much dead and buried!!!! If your not a fan of boxing mate thats fine.....but dont come out with a big sweeping statement like that without evidence to back it up,or is it just your view......when did the uk last have a year like its just had ?..3 world champions,2 of whom are top 10 pound for pound fighters......whole stables of good fighters in wales, london, sheffield etc....some good jocks.....khans a great prospect if you accept him as being british, along with a lot of other good young prospects....... whos our british hopes for world titles in mma ? michael bisping, who personally i dont think will win a world title anyway.......lets not get carried away....as a worldwide sport boxing and mma are still oceans apart...hence why when rampage jackson won the title he got 250 thousand dollars and when floyd mayweather defended against hatton he got about 12 million ! As for 4 oz gloves and having pillows on the end of your arms ......would you rather be hit once with a hammer or 50 times with a stick......the hammer will knock you out and you will wake up 2 minutes later, the stick can cause damage thats permanent !.........look at the statistics of fight related deaths/injuries. trappa 518
They are worlds apart in a monetary sense, but MMA hasnt been spoiled by money (yet) , boxing has, period. As two disciplines, mma will beat boxing hands down. The ufc was started just to see which discipline was the best and its been proven that to be trained in multiple martial arts is of benefit. ps i dont think bisping will get past anderson silva either. He has got to be, pound for pound, the hardest man on the planet.
