breeding my paterdale

Hi all, have a patterdale bitch that im going to breed this time around and was strongly thinking of breeding her back to her father. He's a good ground dog and i would like to keep the blood lines going. Just woundering have any of you's done it before or no anyone thats done it and what way did the pups turn out . Id like to hear your reply thanks joe

 

If YOUR happy with the way the pair of them work then go for it, father daughter is a good breeding, its you who feeds them

thats has close as you can get father to daughter mother to son. how do you think bloodlines are made

was brian plummers strain of terrier not a result from the breeding of a terrier he had called omega??? she was vampire bred to his own daughter bred to his own daughter bred to his own daughter... or something like that??? and omega means the last because he couldnt breed her any closer... thats what i got from the dvd i watched of him...

 

 

IMO, if your only goin to do it the once then i think all will be ok...

Both animals need to be sound with no defects.Recent defects can come through but you will be stamping the qualities of both parients into the pups locking them in.All the best stock in horses and dogs is inbred and line bred which is mostly the same thing.You should destroy any defective stock and only breed from sound animals from that litter eg. daughter back to father son back to mum and brother to sister.If all that works out you should have yourself a strain.Be very careful when you outcross.
