SteveieP 0
Looks like a Mk4 first produced round about 1974 Barrel seal has turned to crud & is a couple of quid to replace. However, if the barrel seal is in that state it's probably not seen any maintenance for a decade or so. So you might also need to replace piston seal & piston buffer washer (buffer washer will probably also have turned to crud by now). Whilst it's in bits, you might as well put in a new mainspring & do a lube job. Expect you're looking at 25 quidsworth of parts to put it back in good order, subject to nothing else being wrong with it. In fact, there aren't many other parts that ware out on a regular basis. Bombproof construction with production of the Meteor now well over 4 million If you don't know what you're doing, or not mechanically inclined, get help. Cost of gunsmithing (if needed) goes on top of parts cost, so with a gun that can be bought new for around 120 quid you might want to consider the economics of the situation, if you can't do the refurb' for yourself. I will take it apart today and see how its looking. Its a bit of an airlume and would like to have it done up a bit. Would I be able to get this tuned? Quote Link to post
