m.hubbard 1
hey all hope everyone well. after years of shooting fix mag scopes iv decided to invest in a 2.5x10-44 scope . and i was just wondering how to use it properly .iv do i pick a mag say 7 and fix it at that or do you move the mag depending on how fare the quarry is away? plus if i zero it in at 2.5 would i have to rezro it if i change it to 10? thanks .m Quote Link to post
SEAN3513 7
hello m.........hope your well mate? once your scope is zeroed it will be at zero for all magnification. personally i use the highest mag just for having a look around, as on an air rifle as we know, anything 35/40 yards is maximum killing range, so the higher ranges are no good to you really. it just makes holding your x hairs steady more difficult !!!! the x 6 magnification is probably as high as you need to go. the only thing that WILL change.....at different magnifications....is the diopter (eyepiece) focus. mine is set at my optimum killing range....35 yards. hope this helps regards sean Quote Link to post

SEAN3513 7
hey sean thanks for your help . so what your saying if i zero it at the lowest it wont change when i change it to 1o. was it worth the investment if if im not going to need the mag ? thats it mate.................ZERO won't alter. yes i think its worth the investment................being able to zoom in at around x6 will give you a much clearer veiw of the kill zone at 30 to 40 yards. also at closer ranges 10 to 15 yards at x3 setting will make holding your aim easier ( easier to keep steady than it would be at say...x6) just have a look through the scope and have play ( without shooting) to familiarise yourself with its functions and capabilitys........... different settings work better for different people...the above are my own prefferences cheers m all the best sean Quote Link to post
