Foxterrier 22
Hi, my name is Thorleif Thorsen, I'm close to 34 years old and I'm from Norway. I live on the west coast of Norway, in a city called Haugesund, click here if u wanna know , but was born and raised on a small island just outside Haugesund. I have been interested in guns and hunting for as long as I can remember, still remember my late grandfathers stories about old adventures lol The first dog i hunted with was a collie called Lassie, she was very good to find and kill mink, it wasnt mine. That dog used to follow us and if there was a mink around, she found it and very often killed it herself. Then there was many years I didnt use any dog, we used traps to catch mink because the goverment paied a prize for it. Next dog I used was a German Shorthaired Pointer, the owner didnt use here much himself, so I borrowed it and took a hole bunch of mink with it. Then some years later I bought my first dog, a shorthaired dachs wich I accidently shot and killed during a minkhunt it was about 2 years old when the stupid accident happened. That accident has followed me since then and I'm now much more cautious before I shoot. Not long after I bought me a new dachs and he is 6 years old now, caught close to 150 mink with that dog now. Then I bought me a Fox terrier, now 4,5 years old, bitch and she had here first litter last october, kept one male pup myself and sold the rest only to hunters. As u might guess, I hunt a lot of mink, but also hunt fox, roedeer,red-deer, pine marten, seals, (moose, badger and beaver if I get invited to a other part of Norway), about everything with fur on, but most interested in the predators. Not much interested in birdhunting but I shot a crow every now and then You must exscuse me if I'm writing wrong words or have some wrong grammar, but I will do my best Just ask if there is anything u wanna know about me, my dogs or about hunting in Norway Edited June 16, 2008 by Foxterrier
