alimac 882
Yes definitely a Red stag in velvet, I think you will also find it is a farmed deer living on the very best of commercial foods.

scar 0
Thanks, good link, these Deer were in Woburn Abbey grounds. Looks like they are Reds. You say its from woburn i used to live near there and as they have a few breeds of deer i would say that that one looks like the pere david breed which has the black line running down its back. If you drive through woburn they have the red deer herds on the right and the fallow on the left ,there commercialy farmed anyway . Dawn B 212
Its not a Pere David, they are ugly buggers, this was a handsome dude!
scotty 0
I would of said its a red, down here in somerset set we dont say how many points it has, But the first point facing almost forward is the brow, the second bay and third is tray and then how many points on top. If it has it brow bay and tray then thats rights, so he looks like a rights and 7 atop, but looks like he might get to 8 or 9 on top. Ive seen park red deer gettingto 12 and 14 atops but that starts to look ugly to be honest. You get stags almost as good as that in the tiverton staghound country, they never run to far when they have a head as big as that though.
