tote 856 Posted June 15, 2008 Author Report Share Posted June 15, 2008 Sadly the Nith like the Annan and the Border Esk don't get anything like the runs of sea trout they used to. In the mid 1960's rod catch returns topped 9500. In the early 1980's that figure had a high of 6500. In 2006 the rod catch returns didn't reach 1000. That gives us an idea of how bad it has become.
