Its the second time i have seen one on that roof, dont know if its the same one though, last time i wasnt quick enough to grab the camera :laugh:

The first time i spotted it i thought i was seeing things, :laugh: it seems to be around half 6ish when its been seen

 

Some birds are like that Kay, and you sometimes see them at the same time each day..and this is where an aspiring photgrapher can capitalise on such a fact..climb on that roof, disguise yourself and get snapping :D

I will see if i can get a better shot next time i see it :)

He is probably looking for food. Is there a pond he could be eyeing up from that particular roof?

There is a Heronry at the back of the clay shoot I go to. We have seen as many as 15 on the wing at once. They also come down 2 or 3 at a time, onto my permission which is nearby. They poke about among the vegetation, looking for frogs and things I suppose. Also they investigate horse muck piles for wriggly things.

Theres a few off the houses got ponds thinking about it :thumbs:
