Funfuret 1
Good photo Not good at bird spotting but I think one of those flew over our house yesterday. Well whatever it was was very gangly anyway Edited June 15, 2008 by Funfuret

Funfuret 1
Saw the 'gangly' bird about that time. Maybe that's their off to roost time or something. Did it stay long on the roof?

Geoff.C 0
He is probably looking for food. Is there a pond he could be eyeing up from that particular roof? There is a Heronry at the back of the clay shoot I go to. We have seen as many as 15 on the wing at once. They also come down 2 or 3 at a time, onto my permission which is nearby. They poke about among the vegetation, looking for frogs and things I suppose. Also they investigate horse muck piles for wriggly things.
