Have a close look at them & you may see a slit appearing on some off them , i love the little ones with one eye open , they all get called popeye till there both open :laugh:

just curiosity mate how many litters have you reared in say the last 5 years?

they do seem very late at opening their eyes ,have a close look and see if there is any dried gunk around them ,you may need to use some cooled boiled water on some cotton wool to remove the gunk carefully just wiping across their eyes from their nose back to their ears

mine were all just about 5 weeks plus a few days ... one even refused to open them till ALMOST th end of the week... did a good check over them as sue suggests but there wasn't anything around the eyes.. just stayed closed..

 

all open and lookin around now though of course!

i have my first litter at 2 weeks old now

vey intresting when eyes open as they seem to be growing so fast.

just out off intrest at what week do people introduce them to food.

how long does the mother milk for thx :thumbs:

they will start to eat meat from around 3 weeks old & the mom will still care for them untill there totally independent

I feed rabbits and when i see the jills dragging it into the nest and the kitts showing a intrest i start putting pieces of rabbit into the nest box ,ive seen two week old kitts giving a bit of rabbit a good sucking :D
