BlueCoyote 0
here's a couple of interesting tail docking articles http://forum.dog.com/forums/t/79196.aspx and here's an interesting little study that claims docked dogs are more aggressive because they cant express themselves in a normal way http://forum.dog.com/forums/t/78603.aspx?PageIndex=

Waz 4,274
Also heard that a well known beagle/russell/bull puppy farmer and seller of scottish wildcats had grassed up someone after a tiff. So be careful people.
jack_russels. 6
fecking idiots
masmiffy 82
Think generally its a very high fine up to a grand!!! Working spaniels are best docked cos of the snagging problem. Just a thought why cant the tails be ringed like lambs rather than cut? That way they fall off and the nerves are not cut! Bit more PC perhaps?

Neil Cooney. 1
Would I be right in saying that in Britain you can bring a young child to a chemists and get it's ears pierced. Thats more cosmetic than docking a pups tail.

"Because Its Cleaner!!!" they'll say.... right.... but it still hurts the baby. and puts them at risk if you use anesthetics on them. at least a pup doesnt have the nerves in its tail yet - so i've been told - and if you do their ears you can put them under. sure its still a risk, but not quite as much as using that same chemical on a human baby. anyway.. rant over. Halfinch 51
Fecking politicians interfere with everything. If a dog is in terrible terminal pain it can be PTS. Humans on the other hand cant. Humans, (boys) can have their "tail" docked (circumcised) but dogs can't. Strange world we live in.
