jimmyg 6
I was looking through the local ad trader last week, and couldnt believe how many litters of pups advertised.Eighteen litters of staffs, fourteen of gsds, nine of border terriers, ect, ect, ect, loads of "adorable patterdale puppies make gorgeous pets",jugs (pug xjack russells) a new fad?,russell pups all colours blacks, brindles??,a repeat mating of sharpei x irish waterspaniel x pyranian mountain dog (true!)labradoodles ,who is buying all this shite ?churning out litters for the sake of it when the car tax is due.No wonder the dogs homes are full. I phoned up a bloke who had eight bt bitches in pup it was his wifes "hobby"ive nothing against breeding dogs ,to improve the line , quality etc but to breed for the sake of it? multiply all the papers, internet ,ect across the country the amount must be staggering.Ive seen terriers start out at £250 and end up at £50 hope that puts them off. Leave it to the profesional peddlers like Hancock!!
scouse moocher 0
I agree [bANNED TEXT] there are way too many hobbyist breeders out there and backyard puppy peddlars ... I make me living whelping and delivering other peoples pups, which i suppose just goes to show there are alot of people out there who rush into breeding their bitches cuz the fellar down the road bred his last year and it payed for his holiday etc etc etc ... I breed jack russells myself, have done for years ... Im also looking into Maltipoos, a hypoallergenic breed, Maltese put to a poodle ... Sort of like a handbag dog version of the labradoodle ... another very very succesfull hypoallergenic breed. Just wish people would realy consider every asepect of breeding before they make their minds up. Sm Ant

bullsmilk 2
my sister and mum breed there staffs together.yes the money is a bonus although that deppends on litter size the last time was only 3 pups.but there not cash obsessed as they only breed every other year so that the bitch has a good reast. i aint no dog phycologist but i think a bitch is better and happier after being aloud to breed...within reason

bullsmilk 2
chilli i agree totaly with you there......these people that breed season in and out for purely proffit are scum.letting there bitches become week and in turn the pups are shite to yes your right ....but please do not tar me with the same brush,i like having pups about and the way i see it if people didny breed threre dogs i wouldnt have half the fun i do now.1 litter every 2 years min is not proffit making and is not! peddeling
