Go to an engineers merchants, bearing suppliers, agricutural suppliers/farmers shop etc. and ask for rubber "O " rings.

They'll have a selection, just pick the size you need. Hope this helps. Cheers, D.

I'm using lamb castration rings 500 for £4.12 use two together with a slight gap, sell them at farmers merchants or just type " lamb castration rings" into google. The tool to put them on is £7, all you want for less than £12 and keep you going for years.

I managed to pick 12 grommets up at a country fayre, and you guessed it, when I got home saw that I needed 13, so looking around "wickes" yesterday, saw a pack of 6 cane ends, for £1.68 took a chance that they would fit, and they do they have slines inside, so they will fit different thickness poles, and being bright yellow, can be used to denote your first and last pole in the basket, and they have a large head, thus making them easy to push in

 

so jack, get yaself down to wickes
