Gav 1,708
Aye each to their own mate, I still prefer the weather here even if it is carp 10 months of the year, I supose its just what ya used to I'm in the Hebrides too not the orkneys, we get the gulf stream round these shores so is warmer in winter than the orkneys (Caithness)
cúagusgiorraí 57
Hey Ditch, I know what you mean mate. Nothing better than being out in the country. You really learn to appreciate it when you've lived with your dogs in a town/city. Edited August 12, 2008 by cúagusgiorraà

Guest Ditch_Shitter
I will NEVER leave England, especially not to slag it off!FFS! you are English ditch! Running don't help that FACT. Steady on a minute, Name! Did I suggest ye leave ye lovely river? We each make our own choices as they present, mate. But never mind that; I am " english - FACT " ? Know me that well, do ye? I beg to offer that I might, having spent five years slaving away at unravelling my own ancestry, spending a fortune in life hours as well as cash to buy the official Certificates to advance and Prove the Factuality of what I accept, I might by now be in a better position than about anyone else on this earth to Know 'what I am'. In fact, only yesterday I was asked by a newly arrived brit if I was Irish, because the asker had at first took me for such, but had noticed my accent. In answer to this guy, an Irish mate of mine interjected and said; " I think Ditch is Irish, only has been living in england. " I feel he was paying me a Huge compliment by those words. However, I corrected them both with my own response, which I'm perfectly comfortable with giving to you now: " If ye really want to know? I'd be happy to put my hands up to containing roughly 1/3 english blood. 1/3 Irish blood and 1/3 Gypsy. And most of that Gypsy blood is from Irish Gypsys too. " I'm really not that good on fractions myself. I'm also still trying to follow up the women my male (Irish) grandfathers maternal took as wives. So far, they All married Irish girls. In fact, where I pushed on the above equation? I'd say I'd have to knock some points off that 1/3 english. So ye see? On balance, I've actually more come back to my main root, rather than " running " from the bosum of some holy motherland. A land in which I've been spat and sneered at and ordered out of places as being a " Dirty f*cking Gypo! ". So ye can't teach me a lot about 'slagging off' either, I'm afraid.
